Stands an exact replica of the original Liberty Bell
Dedicated here July 4, 1950, one year after my birth.
I find no finer statement of personal commitment
As I seek election to the Wisconsin Assembly:
“In standing before this symbol, you have to opportunity to dedicate yourself as did the founding fathers to the principles of the individual freedom for which our nation stands.”
When people talk about politics these days
They talk about ‘anger’ ‘fear’
‘mistrust’ ‘resentment’.
They talk about corruption.
To the extent any or all of these are true,
The effectiveness and reliability of any government
Is finished.
We must work together now. It is work. Our private lives, our communities,
Our state and our nation depend upon it.
The party is over.

Time to Fix What’s Broken
I recently rebuilt a ruined antique wagon in our backyard. It fell to complete destruction as you can see. I studied it, learned from it and rebuilt it. Completely. I’m proud of it and I can and have done the same with others things in disrepair.
